Nippon simply means Japan and was utilised on Japanese export porcelain until 1921, after which the word Japan was used. This item is a Japanese manufactured cottage ware tea pot dating between 1921 and the end of the 1950’s. The item is decorated in embossed cottage detail.
Stamped underneath Japan.
The tea pot lid has a hairline (please see picture) and the item has crazing, but still functional and beautiful as a decorative piece.
