Vintage Cottageware –Westminster Hanley Pottery Butter Dish
A vintage ceramic cottageware item manufactured between 1948 and 1956 by Westminster Pottery. The company was established in 1948 in Hanley and ceased operations in 1956. The company also used the trade name Castlecliffe Ware.
The butter dish is rectangular in shape and depicts a ceramic cottage.
The item is stamped underneath Westminster Hanley Staffs Made in England.
The item has feint age related crazing as well as two chips underneath the lid and a repair on the dish itself (please see pictures), aside from which it is in good usable condition.
