





Vintage (1960’s) Queen Anne Bone China (Shore & Coggins Ltd.) 6 Cup Tea Pot – Genevieve Pattern
A vintage fine porcelain 6 cup tea pot, manufactured by Shore & Coggins Ltd., Longton, under their Queen Anne trade name designed in the graduated shape along with a short pedestal base and gently scalloped rim. An ornately shaped scroll handle with gold trim also adorns the tea pot. Decorated in the Genevieve pattern which displays lovely pink flowers together with green and mist grey leaves, the tea pot also displays gold trim along the rim, spout as well as on the bun shaped lid finial and double trim around the base and handle.
The firm was established in 1887 as J. Shore & Co and in 1905 became Shore, Coggins & Holt under a new partnership which survived until 1910 when Holt left and the firm became Shore & Coggins Ltd. In 1918 the business was sold to Thomas Wild & Sons. The Wild Group expanded and introduced the Bell China trade name and then after 1945 introduced the Queen Anne and Princess Anne trade names. By 1966 the Wild Group was under Allied English Potteries who closed the Shore & Coggins Ltd brand.
The item is stamped underneath Genevieve Queen Anne Bone China England.
The item is in excellent second hand condition.
