




Vintage 1930’s Alfred Meakin Soup Bowl – Brighton Pattern
The Brighton pattern was released by Alfred Meakin, Tunstall and displays a lovely bright multi-coloured floral pattern with an embossed detail on a 18ct gold trimmed scalloped rim. The design of the bowls are classically known as Astoria.
Alfred Meakin operated from 1875 at the Royal Albert, Victoria and Highgate Potteries in Tunstall.
The item is a beautiful wide rimmed soup bowl.
The bowl is stamped underneath Alfred Meakin England.
The bowl has some fading of the gold trim on the rim, aside from which it is in very good vintage condition.
