Very Unique Fine Porcelain Tea Duo With Mallard Duck Pattern & Pierced Saucer
This item is a very unique fine porcelain tea duo consisting of the cup and saucer and each decorated with a flying Mallard Duck. The duo is simply beautiful. The cup has a pedestal base and is super fine and the saucer has a pierced rim. Both items have a gold chintz patterning around the edges as well as on the cup pedestal base. The cup has a prominent gold trimmed scroll handle.
The items could possibly be Royal Sealy, but is unmarked. Royal Sealy, is a vintage porcelain manufacturer known for their highly collectible tea sets (1940-1950). Like the glimmer of the silkworms, Art Deco styled cups and saucers were made in Japan for export. The designs are history and became the most popular collectable of the era.
The item is not marked or stamped.
Some fading of the gold trim have occurred on the rims as well as on the cup handle, but no chips or cracks.
