





Rare Fairfield Pattern Vintage 1930's John Maddock & Sons Ltd. Porcelain Demitasse Sugar Bowl
The firm began trading as Maddock & Seddon in 1839 and in 1842 became J. Maddock when the partnership was dissolved. In 1855 the firm became John Maddock & Sons Ltd. By the 1970’s the firm had been closed completely.
This item is a rare vintage fine porcelain demitasse sugar bowl manufactured by John Maddock & Sons during the 1930’s and decorated in their Fairfield pattern. The pattern displays a lovely pink and golden yellow floral band around the centre of the bowl’s body, set against a lighter green scrolled chintz patterning. Gold trim has been used on the rim and a band of darker green leaves decorates the rim.
Stamped underneath Maddock Made in England Fairfield.
The bowl has a chip on its rim (slightly painted over and the base has feint crazing. Aside from this no other visible damages.
Height of rim: 6 cm, Diameter of base: 3.8 cm, Diameter of rim: 7 cm
