Art Nouveau Styled Large Silver Plated Display Bowl With Reticulated Pierced Metal Patterning & Swing Handle
A fabulous item; in lovely condition with an intrinsic beauty all on its own.
This exquisite and large display bowl stands on a shortened and narrowed stand attached beneath a plume fluted base above which a reticulated pierced metal patterning decorates the sides in a band directly beneath a rolled rim.
The display bowl itself is reminiscent of the Venetian Gondola shape but with a c-scroll swing handle attached to the rim. The handle is adorned with two ball motifs neatly spaced for the hand.
The bowl is not marked or stamped.
Besides a very light vintage patina in some places, which require some polishing, the bowl is in very good condition.
Height with handle: 27 cm, Height of rim: 10 cm (at the longitudinal ends), Height of rim: 8.4 cm (centre), Oval base: 6 cm x 4 cm, Length: 35 cm, Width: 22.4 cm
