Antique 1896+ Silver Plated Fenton Bros. Ltd Sheffield Creamer / Milk Jug With Edwardian Handle

Fenton Bros were established in 1875 at South Moor Works, East Street, Sheffield by John Frederick Fenton and Frank Fenton. In 1896 the firm became a limited liability company. All electro plating ceased at the company in 1910.

This rare item by Fenton Bros was manufactured between 1896 and 1910 and is designed in a distinct Edwardian style rather than Victorian, which would obviously place its date of manufacture between 1901 and 1910 (The Golden Age). A silver plated creamer with a broader base narrowing towards the rim somewhat resembling the classic tankard of the time.

The item is stamped underneath Fenton Bros Ltd followed by EPNS in Gothic style and Sheffield A1.

Due to its age, this creamer has loads of character with plate loss and a few dents here and there. It is however still solid and in good usable antique condition.

Height of handle: 11.8 cm, Height of rim: 11.2 cm, Height of spout: 12 cm, Diameter of base: 7.2 cm, Diameter of rim: 5.6 cm, Spout to handle: 11.8 cm
