1950's Fine Porcelain Grindley Creampetal Range, Rosemary Pattern Gravy / Sauce Boat

This particular vintage pattern was designed and released by W.H. Grindley & Co. during the 1950’s and discontinued in 1960. The pattern was released in the blue version as Janique, in green as Paulette and in burgundy red as Rosemary. Although all three are considered rare by collectors, the Rosemary was released in the late stages before discontinuation and therefore in very limited numbers. The Rosemary is not even available on Replacements.com.

The pattern displays a burgundy red border highlighted by tan scroll patterning with gold trim along scalloped rim and on the handle. The gravy / sauce boat has been designed with a scroll handle and mildly fluted sides.

Stamped underneath Creampetal, Grindley, England.

Besides some fading of the gold trim on the handle, the item is in very good condition.

Height of handle: 10.7 cm, Height of spout: 10.2 cm, Height of rim: 7.4 cm, Oval base: 8.4 cm x 6 cm, Across the rim: 8.8 cm, Spout to handle: 20.4 cm
