







1950’s Vintage Marlborough Shape Grindley Porcelain Tea Trio – Rare Kingfisher Pattern
Designed and released under the Royal Petal range with Marlborough shape, a porcelain tea trio manufactured by Grindley between 1940 and 1959 when this particular pattern was discontinued. The trio consists of the tea cup with mild graduation together with the matching saucer and squared tea plate, decorated with colourful Kingfisher birds and floral patterning. Both the saucer and tea plate have scalloped rims while all three items are mildly fluted along the sides.
The items are each stamped underneath Marlborough Royal Petal Grindley England.
The tea cup has a chip underneath on the base, although this is not visible unless the cup is turned upside down. Aside from this there are no damages noted.
Tea plate height: 1.6 cm, Diameter of base: 8.4 cm, Rim: 15.4 cm x 15.4 cm
Saucer height: 2.2 cm, Diameter of base: 4.5 cm, Diameter of rim: 14.6 cm
