



1945+ Vintage Alfred Meakin (Tunstall) Marigold Pattern Porcelain Jug - Marquis Shape
Alfred Meakin Ltd. was established in 1875 and operated from Royal Albert, Victoria and Highgate Potteries in Tunstall. The firm built Newfield Pottery in 1930 and took over the Alexander Works in 1980. By 1976 however, the firm had already become Myott-Meakin and was taken over by the Churchill Group in 1991.
This item is a medium sized porcelain jug manufactured by Alfred Meakin Ltd. directly after 1945 and decorated in the studio style Marigold pattern. The pattern is discontinued.
Stamped underneath Alfred Meakin England.
Some loss of the gold trim decorating the handle and rim, aside from which in very good condition with no other visible damages...
