1920’s – 1930’s Georgian Era Silver Plated Tea Pot With Black Bakelite Handle & Lid Finial

It is believed that this particular elegance in design was first created by Viners of Sheffield in the early 1900’s although by the 1920’s a variety of other silver plate manufacturers in the Sheffield area had also begun using the design due to its popularity at the time.

The item is a silver plated tea pot which stands on a short graduating trumpet shaped base and is fitted with a black Bakelite scroll handle. The item has a peaked gooseneck spout and a hinged domed lid with empirical style lid finial manufactured from black Bakelite. The tea pot was manufactured during the Georgian era 1910 – 1936.

The tea pot is stamped underneath the shoulder EPNS.

Besides requiring a good polishing to remove patina and return the shine, the tea pot is in good condition..
