Vintage Birmingham Oval Silver plated John Collyer & Co. Ltd. Serving Tray
John Collyer & Co was first registered a firm manufacturing silver plated wares for hotels and restaurants in 1900 and became contractors to the HM War Office later. The firm did not survive past the 1930-1940’s.
The item is an oval vintage silver plated serving tray with extended rim scalloped beside a pair of cut handles on the longitudinal ends. The tray stands on four solid bun feet and was manufactured by John Collyer & Co. Ltd.
The item is impressed underneath the rim JC & Co. Ltd. EPNS.
This tray may require a good polish and has some surface scratches due to use, but is in very good second hand condition.
